Catleya

Wine Explorers' opinion

One of the most popular estates in Romania, this vineyard, planted mainly with endemic grape varieties, with a density of 6,500 to 10,000 vines per hectare, is a must!

The terroir

The vineyard is planted on calcic Brunisols with a strong clay gradient. This naturally limits the vigor of the vine, while ensuring a constant water supply.

The estate

Catleya is a lovely family estate focused on preserving biodiversity and maintaining a rich flora and fauna, where turtles, bees and other animal species punctuate the life of the seasons between the vine rows.

The vineyard

Located in the foothills of the Carpathians, on the same parallel as Bordeaux, this vineyard culminating at an altitude of 300 meters enjoys a continental climate perfectly suited to the production of high quality grapes.

The wines

Discover beautiful indigenous grape varieties, such as Feteasca Regală and Feteasca Albă in white or Feteasca Neagră in red. Alongside more famous grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
