Catleya is one of the most famous wineries in Romania and we can see why. This vineyard planted on the foothills of the Carpathians, mainly with endemic grape varieties and with a density of plantation between 6,500 and 10,000 vines per hectare, is a must!
The vineyard is planted on calcic Brunisols with a strong clay gradient. This naturally limits the vigor of the vine, while ensuring a constant water supply.
Catleya is a lovely family estate focused on preserving biodiversity and maintaining a rich flora and fauna, where turtles, bees and other animal species punctuate the life of the seasons between the vine rows.
Located in the foothills of the Carpathians, on the same parallel as Bordeaux, this vineyard culminating at an altitude of 300 meters enjoys a continental climate perfectly suited to the production of high quality grapes.
