Yesterday evening we carried out a "all inclusive" service in Munich for Ermewa Group: we tell you everything about it!
Ermewa Group, European leader in the rental of freight wagons, contacted us a few months ago to manage from A to Z the "wine" part of their annual event, organized during Transport Logistic, global logistics fair. The idea for this special occasion: have the 200 guests of Ermewa Group taste 4 wines (2 white and 2 red) from wine-growing countries where they are strongly established, namely Germany, Portugal, Italy and Spain.
After tasting a dozen samples with the client, the following wines were selected for the event:
Riesling Feinherb 2021, Dr. Loosen (Germany, Mosel): a very pure Riesling, produced on slate and schist soils, with aromas of fresh pineapple, mango, ginger and lemongrass. The mouth is fresh, with a pure and mineral substance.
NB: the Feinherb indication means that the wine contains a residual sugar level of between 4 and 12 g/L (or a maximum of 18 g/L if the residual sugar level does not exceed a total acidity of more than 10 g /I).
Dócil Loureiro 2021, project of Dirk Niepoort (Portugal, Vinho Verde): 100% Loureiro from the Lima Valley and more particularly from vines rooted in granite soils. The bouquet reveals floral and lemony nuances as well as notes of nectarine and tropical fruits. On the palate, its excellent acidity and delicate structure lead to a long and expressive finish.
Chiaramonte Nero d’Avola 2019, Firriato (Italy, Sicily): grown on alluvial soils, this delicate red wine seduces with its aromas of plum, blackberry, black cherry, clove, black pepper and liquorice. On the palate, the wine admirably combines power and delicacy, with silky and delicious tannins.
Reserva 2016, Viña Real (Spain, Rioja Alavesa): blend of Tempranillo (90%), Grenache Noir, Carignan and Graciano grown on soils that are mainly chalky and low in organic matter. A rich and complex wine with aromas of ripe strawberries, Morello cherries, roasted coffee, leather and violets. On the palate, the fruits are ripe and the spices delicate, with some smoky notes on the finish.
Wine Explorers took care of all the wine logistics, from the purchase of the bottles to the preparation of the pallet in France and its delivery to the Ermewa stand in Munich.
On D-Day, we traveled to Germany to ensure the set up of the wine stand, the service of the bottles and the presentation of the different cuvées to the 200 guests of Ermewa Group. The event was a real success. Mission accomplished!
Thanks to the whole team of Ermewa Group for their trust and enthusiasm.
